How long does a sweater from MissFitTribe take to reach the door?
A sweater ordered here reaches a doorstep in the lower 48 states or Washington, DC in 7-10 business days from the order day, which is 2-3 business days while a fulfillment partner in the United States packs it, followed by 5-7 business days with the carrier.
Delivery area for every order
Delivery covers any street address located in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia, the same area the checkout accepts, so a cardigan headed to Denver, Boston or a DC apartment goes through without any extra step or form.
Exclusions for military mail, PO boxes, Alaska and Hawaii
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the remaining territories, military APO, FPO and DPO mail and every address outside the United States sit outside the delivery area, and the checkout offers no shipping option for any of them. PO boxes are excluded too, because the fulfillment partner sends packages to street addresses only, so an order placed to a PO box gets canceled with a full refund inside 2 business days.
A United States origin for every package
Each order is passed to a third-party fulfillment partner in the United States, which packs the sweater and hands the package to a domestic carrier, so every listing names the United States as the country each sweater ships from.
A 6 PM MT cut-off for the order day
Payment completed before 6 PM MT on a business day makes that day the order day; a payment made later in the evening, during a weekend or on a federal holiday is dated to the next business day instead. MT on this site means Arizona time, which stays on Mountain Standard Time all year because Arizona does not use daylight saving, so the cut-off lands at 8 PM Eastern in winter and at 9 PM Eastern in summer. Wherever a policy page here counts business days, it means Monday through Friday with federal holidays taken out.
2-3 business days of packing for each order
Packing takes 2-3 business days counted from the order day, and during that time the fulfillment partner pulls the sweater in the size and color you chose, packs it and books the carrier. An order counted on a Monday is therefore dispatched on Wednesday or Thursday, and the email announcing dispatch, tracking number included, is sent on the same day the package changes hands.
5-7 business days in transit for each package
After dispatch the package spends 5-7 business days with the carrier, counted from the day it was handed over, and every scan the carrier makes along the way shows up behind the tracking number in the dispatch email.
A total of 7-10 business days for delivery
Packing and transit added together come to 7-10 business days from the order day, and the product pages, the homepage and the FAQs quote that full total instead of the transit time on its own, so no page promises a shorter trip than the one a package actually takes.
A dated example for a November order
A cable knit turtleneck, MFT-TN-001 at $51.99, paid at 5:40 PM MT on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2026 counts for that Wednesday, leaves the partner on Friday, Nov. 20 or Monday, Nov. 23, and arrives between Monday, Nov. 30 and Thursday, Dec. 3, because Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 26 drops out of the count. The same order paid at 6:15 PM MT that evening counts from Thursday, Nov. 19 and arrives between Tuesday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 4.
Free shipping for orders of $119.00 or more
Shipping is free on orders of $119.00 or more and costs a flat $6.00 per order below that line, charged once however many sweaters the order holds. Two quarter zips, MFT-QZ-004 at $63.99 and MFT-QZ-006 at $54.99, come to $118.98, one cent short of the line, so the $6.00 charge applies and the order reaches $124.98 before tax, whereas a cardigan and a quarter zip, MFT-CD-004 at $60.99 and MFT-QZ-003 at $64.99, add up to $125.98 and ship free. Because no single sweater in the catalog costs $119.00 or more, free shipping usually starts with the second or third sweater in the cart.
The merchandise subtotal for the $119.00 check
The line is measured against the merchandise subtotal once discount codes come off and before any sales tax is added, so a $10.00 code applied to that $125.98 cart leaves $115.98 and brings the $6.00 charge back. Sales tax and the shipping charge itself never count toward the $119.00.
No handling fee for any order
The amount due at checkout is made up of the sweaters, the shipping charge when one applies and sales tax, and nothing else is added at any step, since handling fees, packing fees and card surcharges are never part of it, as the Payment Policy also states.
Sales tax for the delivery address
The checkout works out sales tax from the delivery address and lists it as a separate line ahead of payment, and that tax covers the shipping charge as well as the sweaters.
Carrier choice for each package
The fulfillment partner picks the domestic carrier for each package according to its size and destination, and although the carrier cannot be chosen at checkout, the dispatch email names it, so the company shown on the tracking page matches the one in your inbox.
A tracking number for each package
A tracking number arrives by email on the day of dispatch, and the first scan may need up to 2 business days from dispatch to show up while the carrier logs the package into its network. The Order Tracking page also shows the order status when you enter the order number and the email address used at checkout.
Separate packages for larger orders
An order with several sweaters, such as a turtleneck and two cardigans, can arrive in more than one package, each with its own tracking number, and splitting an order never adds anything to the shipping charge you paid.
Address changes for the first 24 hours
A wrong delivery address is fixable for 24 hours after the order is placed, as long as dispatch has not happened, by emailing the help desk the order number and the new address, so an order placed at 10 AM MT on a Tuesday can still be changed until 10 AM MT on Wednesday. After dispatch, only the carrier can reroute a package, and the help desk passes the request along without being able to promise the result.
A sold-out size for an order already paid
When the size or color you paid for runs out before packing, the help desk emails within 1 business day from the order day with three choices: wait for a restock date, switch to another size, color or style, or take a full refund for that item. A size M Fair Isle cardigan, MFT-CD-002, that sells out after payment could become a size L, a different cardigan or a $50.99 refund, whichever you prefer.
A new date for a late dispatch
A package that has not been dispatched by the close of business day three after the order day triggers an email with a new dispatch date, and you can either wait for it or cancel for a full refund within 2 business days from the cancellation request. Federal law adds its own limit, because the FTC Mail Order Rule does not let an order sit longer than 30 days without your consent, so an order that would pass that point is refunded unless you agree in writing to wait.
Steps for a package marked delivered but missing
When tracking shows delivered and the package is not at the door, waiting 2 business days and asking neighbors, building staff or the mailroom often turns it up, since carriers sometimes record the delivery scan before the package is actually dropped off. If it is still missing after that, report it within 14 days from the delivery scan, so a package scanned on Monday, Nov. 30 can be reported until Monday, Dec. 14, and a claim then goes to the carrier through the help desk.
Reports for damage or loss in transit
A sweater that arrives torn, wet or stained in transit should be reported within 10 days from delivery with photos of the sweater, the mailer and the shipping label, after which the help desk arranges a replacement or a full refund, and you pay nothing for either. A package that stops moving follows the tracking rule instead: a carrier trace begins after 4 business days with no new scan, and 5 more business days with no answer from the carrier lead to a replacement or a full refund.
A 2-business-day decision for every report
Every report about a late, lost, damaged or wrong package receives a decision within 2 business days of a complete report, which means the order number, a short description of the problem and, where they apply, the photos described above.
Allowances for storms and carrier backlogs
Winter storms, the December rush, carrier backlogs and federal holidays can push a delivery past 10 business days, and when that happens the help desk shares what the carrier reports while the trace, replacement and refund rules on this page keep applying.
Return rules for an unwanted sweater
Sending a sweater back, including one that arrived in the wrong size for you, falls under the Refund and Returns Policy, which sets out the 30-day window, the return approval email and who pays the postage.
