Payment Policy

Effective from Oct. 16, 2026

Which payment methods does the checkout take?

The checkout takes PayPal and Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards, with card payments processed by Stripe through a payment gateway service, and no other method is available at any point of an order.

Two payment methods for every order

PayPal covers whatever your PayPal account allows, such as money held in PayPal, a connected bank account or a saved card, while the card option takes credit and debit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover and sends them to Stripe through the gateway service.

Protection for card details

Card numbers typed at checkout pass through the payment gateway service to Stripe and are never stored on missfittribe.com, and a PayPal payment is completed in PayPal’s own window, so the store receives the result of the payment without ever seeing a full card number. HTTPS covers every page of the site, encrypting what travels between your browser and the server.

Charge timing for each order

The whole amount due comes out of your card or PayPal account in a single charge when you place the order. For MFT-TN-001 at $51.99 with $6.00 shipping, $57.99 plus sales tax is therefore charged as the order goes through, two or three business days before the package is dispatched.

A confirmation email for every payment

A confirmation email carrying the order number arrives within a few minutes of payment, and if none shows up, a look in the spam folder followed by a short email to the help desk confirms whether the order went through.

The amount due for a typical cart

The checkout shows the amount due before you confirm, and it is built from three parts only: the merchandise, a shipping charge of $6.00 or $0.00, and sales tax. MFT-QZ-004 and MFT-QZ-006 make $118.98 in merchandise plus $6.00 shipping, or $124.98 before tax, while adding a tie-front cardigan, MFT-CD-008 at $31.99, lifts the merchandise to $150.97 and the shipping to $0.00.

No surcharges for card or PayPal payments

Paying by card and paying through PayPal cost exactly the same, since no surcharge, convenience fee or handling fee is added for either method at any stage.

A separate tax line for each order

Sales tax is calculated from the delivery address and sits on a line of its own before you pay, so the figure you approve at checkout is the figure that gets charged.

USD pricing for every order

All prices and charges are in United States dollars (USD), and a card issued outside the United States may carry a currency conversion fee that is set and collected by the card issuer.

Payment icons for the methods in use

Payment marks on the site belong only to methods that work here: the footer shows Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Stripe, the processor behind card payments, and the card form at checkout shows Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Unsupported options for checkout

Apple Pay, Google Pay, cryptocurrency, gift cards, cash on delivery, wire transfers, checks and money orders are not accepted, so an order needs PayPal or one of the four card brands listed above.

One discount code for each order

One discount code per order goes into the code field before payment, and codes do not work on orders whose payment has already gone through. A $10.00 code on a $125.98 cart brings the merchandise down to $115.98, below $119.00, which is why the $6.00 shipping charge returns in that case.

A matching billing address for card payments

For a card payment, the billing address entered in checkout must be identical to the address your card issuer has on record, because a mismatch is one of the most frequent reasons for a decline, while the delivery address can be a different one.

Order checks for fraud prevention

Some orders are reviewed for fraud before packing, and when a review needs your input the help desk emails within 1 business day from the order, after which an order that cannot be confirmed within 3 business days from that email is canceled and refunded in full.

Temporary holds for failed attempts

A failed or repeated payment attempt can leave a pending hold on your card without any charge being completed, and banks usually release such a hold within 5 business days from the attempt.

Next steps for a declined payment

A declined payment means the order was not placed and nothing was charged, so you can try again with another card or with PayPal, or call your card issuer to learn why the payment was blocked.

Corrections for pricing errors

If a price on the site is clearly wrong, for example a $64.99 quarter zip showing as $6.49, the help desk emails before dispatch so you can decide whether to pay the corrected price or cancel and get every cent back.

A conversation first for billing disputes

Emailing the help desk with the order number before filing a chargeback usually settles a billing problem sooner, because payment questions get a decision within 2 business days while a card dispute can take the card network weeks, although filing a chargeback always remains your right.

Privacy rules for payment data

How payment and order data are collected, used and stored is explained in the Privacy Policy, and the Refund and Returns Policy covers how money comes back after a return.
